Trauma Risk Management -TRiM- Practitioners - fully blended e-learning course
Our fully blended TRIM Practitioners course combines independent e-learning with virtual face-to-face interaction with our TRiM mentors via MS Teams. Learners can progress through the course at their own pace. At three key stages, they arrange a one-on-one virtual session with one of our experienced trainers, who guide them through practical exercises. After each assessment, trainers provide coaching and written feedback. This highly effective learning method makes this the only truly blended e-learning TRiM course available, offering the following advantages:
Learners have the flexibility to study at their own time and pace.
Face-to-face assessments can be scheduled by learners according to their own timetable, often available on weekends and outside normal working hours.
They learn at their own pace and have ample time to prepare for assessments.
During busy periods, learners can pause their training and resume when convenient.
Administrative and technical support is readily accessible, along with mentorship if required.
The course awards the same certification as traditional face-to-face training
The course typically takes 12-14 hours to complete, which includes approximately three hours of practical exercises with a mentor. In addition, there are several short online multiple-choice assessments to help reinforce your learning.

Module 3 – Practical planning exercise (virtual with a mentor)
Module 4 – Understanding psychological risk assessment
Module 5 – Conducting TRiM risk assessments
Module 6 – Practical risk assessment exercises (virtual with a mentor)
Module 7 – Documentation and referral
Module 8 – Self care
Final risk assessment exercise (with a mentor)
Course Outcome
A trained practitioner is able to understand the characteristics of traumatic events and conduct structured risk assessments to facilitate early intervention and ongoing support to colleagues and peers.
Accreditation
Upon completing the course, learners will receive a course pack, a handbook, and a certificate endorsed by the CPD Standards Office. Additionally, a comprehensive library containing videos and other resources is included. You will also receive a link to our brand-new TRiM App, which provides templates and further resources.
